Hopefully IBM isn't pushed too much by Wall Street. Their mainframe and POWER servers may not have the market share they once did but those of us running our businesses on them don't want anything else.
Just because newer businesses are stupid enough to use cheap, insecure systems for their business doesn't make it the right thing to do. Nobody is hacking my i5 server, I sleep very well at night.
I've said this many times in these forums: If something is around long enough to become a legacy, it's because it works very well.
Wall Street is the most dangerous threat to us all and will continue to be. How did that derivitive thing work out in 2008 for mortgages? Well, for other than the hedge fund guys and other insiders who saw it coming? If they start taking out companies like IBM by forcing short sighted thinking, we are all in deep trouble.
