re: 6 Features I Want In Future Smartphones
3. Q:Why can't you have a nano iPod that has the same number and contacts as your iPhone that works as a passable phone?
A: I've been doing this for a while. Actually it's easy if you have a pair of GSM android phones, one being your main phone and the other being an old one that you won't miss if it goes in the lake.
Before you go to the lake, take the SIM card out of your "good" phone and put it in your "I don't care if I drop this in the mud" phone. If you are doing it right, all of your contacts are in the cloud and your music is either in the cloud (google music) or it's on an microSD card that you also move from one phone to the next.
When you get home, switch it back.
Not being able to do this with sealed phones is one of the reasons I don't want an iPhone.
