Beyond WiFi: Building Better Enterprise Mobility

50%

Mobility in the enterprise was once considered a luxury. Laptops, smartphones, and ubiquitous WiFi seemed too much to ask for. However, in the past few years, that all changed. Now, access to all things mobile is everywhere -- and workers are clamoring for even more. Drew Lentz, a solutions architect with Frontera Consulting, says he believes that IT needs to look beyond WiFi technology and create a unique, wireless connected experience that benefits not only employees, but businesses as well. Lentz touched upon that topic and more during his conversation with Senior Editor Sara Peters about the evolving definition of mobility.

Enterprise mobility and security
Indeed, enterprise mobility has escalated quickly giving us unprecedental freedom to get our work done from wherever we are, even from a plane or a cruise. The benefits for both enterprise and employees are enormous.

Yet, in terms of security we need to remember that is the combination of security in the network, in the cloud, in the applications, and in the devices what is going to work for the benefit of all. This means that we are all a little responsible for it, naturally.
